Sidhe's Wynand on Usability

Gamasutra are running an article covering a presentation from Mario Wynand from Sidhe Interactive* on usability in games.

I remember meeting some of the guys from Sidhe back in 2001 when I gave a talk at the Australian Game Developers Conference. Good to hear their studio's still around.

From my perspective this is the most interesting and practial advice from the article,

Five or six people over a couple of days is enough for one test iteration, Wynands suggested. He also advised against testing the same subject twice (unless it's for a different game). He theorized that any test group should comprise about 80 percent of all types of gamers.

* I think Sidhe is a Gaelic word for a kind of mythical elf-like creature, and it's pronunced like "she".
